Marcie (JENNIFER GLYNN) is in love with John (RILEY STEWART). However one day she discovers that he’s married. So Marcie decides to confront his wife, Jane (JOANNA HEAP). Meanwhile Jane suspects her husband of having an affair and has already begun seeking revenge in her own way. But then Marcie shows up and the two wronged women form an unlikely détente and decide to confront John together. But is John about to exact his own revenge? Vengeance by Proxy took approximately 16 hours to shoot over a period of 2 weeks with a budget of exactly 30.00 Euros. Produced under a working aesthetic, actual locations were used with no design, props or costumes and a crew of one, working both picture and sound with one take only on each real-time shot. The idea was to get the actors to portray a truth without working to the “CUT”. The final film was edited on Premiere 6.5 over 10 days with an evocative soundtrack by Kerry Hope Kavanagh. Vengeance by Proxy is a haunting comment on revenge culture in the 21st century.
